In order to promote innovation and agripreneurship by providing financial support and nurturing the incubation ecosystem, a new component “Innovation and Agri-entrepreneur development “programme has been launched under the revamped scheme RKVY- RAFTAAR in 2018-19. DA&FW has selected 5 Knowledge Partners (KPs) as Centre of Excellence and 24 RKVY-RAFTAAR Agribusiness Incubators (R-ABIs) from across the country.
These incubators are empowered to support Agri-startups throughout the country. Selected seed stage startup will be provided a maximum limit of Rs. 25 Lakh as grant-in-aid support under the scheme. Similarly, selected pre-seed/Idea startup will be provided a maximum limit of Rs 5 lakh as grant-in-aid support under the scheme.
